The Web gallery contains the most recent sites designed and developed by HolterDesign/ProjectPIXL, with HolterDesign.com itself being the most recent. My own site will always be the most recent as I tend to update and redesign constantly. My own sites are always a live canvas for trying something new with design, learning new coding languages, etc.

Ed Severini INCEd Severini is an integrated marketing solutions specialist with an extensive background in concept and design in the marketing & promotions industry. The website, edseverini.com, is a clean, contemporary portfolio of Ed's work. Design and layout for edseverini.com was created by the designer himself in this case, leaving the structural developement, coding and styling of the site up to me. ABC Harley-Davidson | Waterford, Michigan.ABC is a full-service Harley-Davidson Motorcycle dealership with a beautiful building in a great location, a huge showroom with over 40 new bikes, huge selection of clothing & apparel, a large parts department and a service department with certified Harley techs and all the latest equipment. Their logos, website and other marketing materials were outdated and desperately in need of a total redesign. They needed a new look, new attitude. They needed a website to reflect the attitude and quality of their store. After designing a new logo and other marketing materials for them, they tasked me to design and build a web site to match. Fenner, Melstrom & Dooling plc. Certified Public Accountants.Fenner, Melstrom & Dooling is a team of Certified Public Accountants located in Auburn Hills, Michigan. The website was designed to reflect their identity and professionalism, and developed to provide detailed information about the company and the services they provide. The site also contains a portal to several tax and finance tools, a form to request advice or contact, bio pages for all employees and more. 
Kiki Reef EventsKiki Reef is a Chicago based Event Planner that handles everything from weddings to corporate events. KikiReef.com was designed and developed to reflect Kiki's personality while showcasing some of her events with the gallery, detailing her skills and capabilities, providing a schedule for upcoming events and a mailing list form. 
Poor Boy Choppers/Classic MCPoor Boy Choppers is a motorcycle manufacturer and custom shop located in Waterford, Michigan. Poorboychoppers.com was designed to display their production motorcycle lineup, parts and parts catalogs, used bikes for sale and upcoming events. 
Dozer CycleDozer is a custom motorcycle builder based in Clawson, Michigan. This gallery-based website was designed and created to display his work, listings of shows and event schedules, and product catalogs. 
Structured Analogy ConsultantsSAC is a consulting service that helps people to innovate. This site was created to provide information about services provided, the research underlying the techniques they use, and a home for their blogs and profiles. Road Gear ComponentsMotorcycles are my life, hobby, transportation of choice and consequently became my second business when my prototype parts went beyond personal use and into development and production. RoadGearComponents.com, the website was created to help promote and market a line of parts and also to offer prototype design. |

I've been designing and building websites since 1995. Although the early few years were spent learning and building sites for personal portfolios, the experience would prove useful down the road for this art director working within large agencies. As the web evolved and became another venue for clients to promote products, clients began requesting designs for their websites and online promotional pieces. Before every agency had a web development team in place, Art Directors were being tasked with designing to an entirely new medium, and any previous experience in this area automatically got you involved in the projects.
Being independent has allowed me to pursue more web-based projects and all free time is spent researching every aspect of web development. Although my proficiency in XHTML and CSS based web development with symantically marked up code is enough for nearly any type of web site build, other languages such as JavaScript, AJAX, Jquery and PHP are all necessary to enhance any site with dynamic content and a more fluid user experience. I use my own site as a testing ground for learning the various languages and incorporate & redesign in the process.
